Township Population Information
The Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT) uses the official annual township population estimates published by the Minnesota State Demographic Center to calculate township membership dues and for other association programs and services.
Because township populations can change from year to year, MAT relies on the State Demographic Center's official estimates, which are updated annually. These figures also provide valuable historical data that can help townships track population trends over time.
If you have questions about your township's official population estimate, please refer to the resources below. Population estimates are produced by the Minnesota State Demographic Center (in partnership with the Metropolitan Council for the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area) and are the official figures used by MAT.
