Legislative Center
Advocating for Minnesota townships is a core part of the Minnesota Association of Townships' mission. MAT works year-round to ensure the voices of townships are heard at both the Minnesota State Capitol and in Washington, D.C., promoting policies that protect local decision-making and strengthen township government.
MAT's dedicated in-house government relations team and experienced legislative consultants work every day on behalf of townships, building relationships with lawmakers, monitoring legislation, and advancing township priorities at both the state and national levels. This Legislative Center serves as your resource for tracking legislative issues, accessing advocacy materials, and staying informed about the policies and proposals that impact Minnesota townships.
