The Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), a national nonprofit that partners with rural leaders across the country to build tech economies that support scalable entrepreneurship and lead to more tech jobs in rural America, is hosting its first national conference on May 8-9, 2024 in Red Wing, Minnesota.

"From Ideas to Impact: Empowering rural development through innovation" is a two-day event that will explore topics such as supporting scalable tech entrepreneurship, bridging the gap between tech careers and local skill initiatives, and the latest data and research pertinent to rural development. Speakers will include:

  • Craig Buerstatte, deputy assistant secretary for regional affairs, U.S. Economic Development Administration
  • Chris Estes, co-executive director, Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group
  • Mary Grove, managing partner, Bread and Butter Ventures
